Ribic, Jr., Director of Litigation Support for SF&Company, recently performed with Dr. Steve Cyran’s MegaJam Band to raise money and awareness for Hanover Hospital’s Cardiovascular Education Fund, PennState Hershey’s Heart and Vascular Institute and its Children’s Heart Group. Local Harley Davidson chapters participated in the 1st Annual Heart Ride where approximately 100 riders and motorcyclists drove from Hanover Hospital to Hershey Medical Center. A reception greeted the bikers when they reached their destination where they enjoyed food, education and the classic rock sound of the MegaJam Band. Claire S. Weaver, CPA, CSEP, AEP, was recently elected to the Board of Directors at the York County Community Foundation, which is comprised of community leaders chosen for their strategic thinking, vision, and commitment to the future of York County. The board’s responsibilities include financial and investment oversight, setting policy, reviewing all grant-making activities, and charitable distributions. A shareholder at SF&Company, Ms. Weaver specializes in estate and succession planning.
Four employees of SF&Company recently attended the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants Employee Benefit Plans Conference at the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square. The two-day event provided a regulatory update from the U.S. Department of Labor and covered new standards and challenges affecting audits of employee benefit plans. Attendees from SF&Company included Daryl R. Ryan, CPA, Brandon M. Zlupko, CPA, Mark D. Tomco, CPA, and Julie A. Felpel, CPA.
