Robert S. Freed, CPA, CFE, a Principal at SF&Company, has been elected to a new three-year term as Treasurer of the Board of Trustees at York College of Pennsylvania (YCP). He also serves as Vice Chair of the Finance Committee and a member of the Executive Committee at YCP. Bob supports the college’s mission to provide individual attention to students, high quality classroom instruction, thoughtful application of relevant technology, encouragement of life-long learning, attention to critical thinking skills, and strict adherence to principles of academic honesty. Debra K. Simon, CPA, Human Resource Director at SF&Company, was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the York Suburban Education Foundation (YSEF), which provides funding for innovative programs that enhance the educational experience and foster continued academic excellence for district students. As Treasurer for YSEF, Debbie will help the organization collaborate with students, parents, alumni, the school district, and the community in awarding grants to support value-added learning opportunities.
Robert E. Ribic, Jr., Director of Business Valuation and Litigation Support at SF&Company, recently performed with his band, Ribics’ Cube3, at the 12th Annual Perry County Chili Cook-Off at the Rock Kat Bar & Grill in Duncannon. Attendees tried various samples of chili and voted on their favorites, while at the same time donating to the Clem Bauer Memorial Scholarship Fund. This year’s event raised over $1,400.00 which will benefit three student-athletes at Susquenita High School, the honoree’s alma mater.
Six members of the Harrisburg office of SF&Company, recently participated in the United Way of the Capital Region’s Day of Caring. They worked at the Northern Dauphin County YMCA painting the area around the swimming pool and the women’s locker room. The participants included Wendy Erney, Amy Harris, Kathryn Leming, Julie Miller, CPA, Pamela Morgan, and Amanda Smith. They were among 1,700 volunteers who assisted with projects at approximately 70 non-profit sites to kick off the UWCR’s annual fundraising campaign.
