British Council’s free Mini MasterClass to encourage local science talents to join the FameLab Hong Kong 2015 Com欧泊彩票平台petition
Application to the competition opens in December 2014
Following the success of the FameLab Hong Kong in the past five years, the British Council continues to promote science communications this year through the FameLab Hong Kong 2015 competition from December 2014 to March 2015. In order to prepare local science talents for applying to the competition, a free Mini MasterClass will be held on 20 November 2014欧泊彩票, in conjunction of a FameLab information session.
Themed with ‘How to communicate science?’, the FameLab 2015 Mini MasterClass offers essential presentation skills and strategies for attracting audiences’ attraction and judges by an experienced trainer. An introduction seminar of the FameLab Hong Kong 2015 competition will also be included in the Mini MasterClass.

Application for FameLab Hong Kong 2015 Competition will be open in December 2014. Contestants can send their applications through video entries or attend the live audition in person on 3 February 2015. Finalists will be invited to a 2-day MasterClass led by a team of science communication experts from the UK and Hong Kong on 7-8 February 2015. The finalists will then compete for a chance to represent Hong Kong at the Cheltenham Festival in the UK in June 2015 at the FameLab Hong Kong final on 14 March 2015.
